Staff Accountant

2+ years’ recent experience required

Job Description

Established CPA Firm is looking to hire a motivated individual with 2+ years of experience in accounting, auditing and tax. CPA license preferred or working to obtain license. Must have strong analytical and time management skills, be versed in current accounting standards and be able to properly plan and manage various engagements. Must be able to prepare corporate and individual tax returns.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with strong analytical, time management, communication and PC skills including proficiency with MS Office and an accounting/tax (QuickBooks or ProSystem preferred) software. Candidates must be well versed in current accounting standards with the ability to prepare corporate and individual tax returns, work on multiple engagements and professionally represent the firm during client visits. Experience with clients in the construction industry or professional service organizations is a plus.

7+ years’ recent tax experience required

Job Description

Work closely with clients to plan and effectively manage tax engagements, prepare and review tax returns, conduct tax research and ensure tax compliance. Communicate regularly with clients and address their concerns, and oversee staff work. A CPA license is required.
